Now that the iPhone has arrived, I wonder how long it will take before we read a news story about the wave of thefts that iPhone owners have suffered. If I owned an iPhone, I would think twice about taking a call in a crowded public place, lest I be forcibly relieved of it by an unsavory character. In the interest of protecting a fairly large investment, iPhone owners might be well-advised to invest another $100 in a bluetooth headset or a theft insurance plan.
For now, I’m very happy with my $30 Nokia phone. It doesn’t surf the web. I can’t watch YouTube videos with it. But, at least I don’t feel like I have to watch my back everywhere I go.
