NL Central getting tougher

Over the last few days two big new contracts were announced by NL Central teams. The Cubs signed Alfonso Soriano to a 8-year contract and Astros signed Carlos Lee to a 6-year contract. With these two sluggers now in the NL Central, the Pirates are going to have to step it up if they want to compete.

you won’t have to worry about the cubs.

i used to root for them as well until it was clear that the front office and some of the key players don’t even bother working hard after the 1998-2000’ish seasons. that was my big complaint about the white sox’s infamous “white flag” trades of the late 90’s, but ever since ken williams took over, he’s put together a team of hard workers, even though my favorite player Aaron Rowand got traded… haha.

but ‘sol good, ’cause my MOST IMPORTANT team, my BEARS!!! are rolling at 9-1 and going to foxboro this sunday. man, i really, really, REALLY want to crush, stuff, and patsie those overrated patsies!!! (and while we’re at it, let’s crush OVERRATED charlie weis and notre dame too!!!) and college football is great times as always, and in college bball, Kansas is about to face #1 Florida in a BIG showdown tomorrow night in Las Vegas!!!
