Today I scored myself an N64 from a moving sale for $25. This included the console, 4 controllers, and 20+ games. The former owner seems to have a real love of wrestling games, which, I have to confess are not my preferred type of game. This leaves me with about 16 (admittedly not all wrestling) games that I’ll probably never play but that I might be able to use to trade for better games. I’m not super familiar with the games that are available for the N64, so I’m looking for recommendations. I definitely want the New Tetris. Any other games I should look for?

Wow, nice price…I remember being suprised on how fun Mario Tennis was. I’m not much of a tennis player, nor did I think that simulated tennis would be that entertaining. But my one friend and I played it all the time in college.
I haven’t even put a dent in playing all the games I just bought. Yesterday, however, I played Beetle Adventure Racing, which is a really good game. You can race in 2 player mode with a split screen and you can play this non-race “battle” mode with 4 players. It’s pretty good. I also played Wave Race, which is a Jet Ski racing game. I find it pretty hard to control and not all that fun. That game may end up getting traded…
After reading some reviews online, I’ve compiled the following list of games I want, in no particular order:
Super Smash Bros.
F-Zero X
Mario Tennis (thanks to Pat for recommending this)
Excite Bike 64
Mario Kart 64
The New Tetris
Hopefully, I’ll be able to trade some of the games I have for the above games. The New Tetris is very expensive to buy ($20-25). I think the others are more reasonable. It seems a little silly to pay $25 for the system and a bunch of games and then pay another $25 for a single game…
